When it comes to the best bars in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama, we looked at their menu (do they have great food), the atmosphere, live entertainment/live music options, dancing, and so much more
We wanted to put together a list that both locals and visitors would enjoy. There are so many amazing bars and restaurants along Alabama's Gulf Coast!
After enjoying the white sand beaches during the day, it is time for some late-night fun! These are the perfect spots to relax with a cold beer or cocktail.
If you are looking for fine dining this may not be the list for you. Currently I would not say that any of these bars in Gulf Shores would be called fine dining. They are casual beach vacation lounges and restaurants.
If you are in the mood for a great cocktail, great beer on taps, a delicious bloody Mary, or the perfect place where your kids will enjoy family fun and you can have a drink, this is the Gulf Shores bar list you are looking for.

Gulf Shores Nightlife is very family-friendly. While there are bars that are 21 and over only, most of the restaurants and bars in the area are family-friendly.
Pink Pony Pub
The world-famous Pink Pony Pub Gulf Shores beach bar is located feet away from the sugary sands the Gulf Coast is known for!
Enjoy outdoor seating on the patio with gorgeous views of the Gulf Coast.

The Hangout
The Hangout is located right across from Gulf Place Public Beach making it a great place to grab a tropical drink and look out at the Gulf of Mexico.
This family-friendly restaurant and bar has something going on all day long and into the night. Live music, DJ, foam parties, and so much more. Enjoy the coastal breeze with one of their signature drinks.

Parking - There is a designated Hangout parking lot next to the restaurant along with paid parking in front of the restaurant.
Big Beach Brewing Company
This is the only brewery in Gulf Shores currently which means it is the place to go for local craft beer!
Menu highlights - Flagship Beers include Rod's Reel Cream Ale, Dixie's Heart Irish-Style Red Ale, Area 251 Hazy IPA, and Hundred Daze IPA.
They also have seasonal beers, and wine on tap. You can fill a growler with local beer to enjoy at your vacation rental.

Parking - There is a parking area next to the brewery. If you are driving a large vehicle it may be a bit tight. You may need to look at street parking.
The Cove Bar & Grill
The Cove Bar & Grill has live music nightly, pool tables, a dart board, and indoor and outdoor seating. They also serve delicious food that locals and visitors love.

High Tide Daiquiris and Mimosas
High Tide Daiquiri and Mimosa offers not only epic cocktails but great food. Oh and you can take out a peddle boat in the shape of a flamingo or rubber ducky! What more can you ask for.

The Sloop
The Sloop is a local favorite tucked away in the heart of Gulf Shores. They have amazing food, great drinks, and a fun lively atmosphere.
This is a sit down bar perfect for telling fishing and boating stories, meeting up with friends, and having a really chill vibe.
Menu highlights - Cheesesteak party fries, nachos, South Foley Cheesesteaks, Hot wing hoagie, don't miss the double burger with added cheesesteak on top! It is one of the best burgers in Gulf Shores.

The Beach House Kitchen & Cocktails
The Beach House Kitchen is known for their cocktails. So much so that it is in their name. They have great local seafood, sandwiches, salads, and craft cocktails.
There are plenty of options for everyone to enjoy. This is a hot spot for locals.
Menu highlights - Bushwacker, Spiked strawberry lemonade (so good), key lime cooler. 20 oz tiki glass of draft beer including Fairhope Brewing Company. They have a fantastic mocktail menu too!

LuLu's Gulf Shores
Located right next to the Intracoastal Waterway, you can enjoy a cocktail from a view!
Menu highlights - LuLu's World Famous Bushwacker is always delicious! They have delicious seafood options, burgers, and an amazing allergy-friendly menu.

Parking - There is a nice-sized parking area next to the restaurant. That being said, don't be surprised if it is packed. They have a parking attendant at times who will help you with parking if it is busy.

The Flora-Bama Lounge is probably the most famous bar in the area.
They are known for the mullet toss, good food, live music, and so much more. This is not a hidden gem along Alabama's Gulf Coast; it is a bar known around the world.
The Flora-Bama offers the opportunity to enjoy both an open-air waterfront beach bar and multiple indoor bars with live music.
There is something for everyone at the Flora-Bama! They are known for their epic events and live music.

CoastAL Beach Bar
Coastal Orange Beach is one of the newest restaurants in town. The open-air bar offers epic views of the water, great cocktails, and an amazing pimento cheese appetizer I think everyone should try.
This waterfront restaurant has two different options between the open-air bar and the sit down restaurant next door.
Menu highlights - The Coastal Orange Beach menu is filled with great choices, including Jumbo Gulf Shrimp, fresh seafood, Yellowfin Tuna Dip, Crab Claws, Fresh Gulf Grouper, and more.

Avenue Pub
Avenue Pub is a waterfront bar in Orange Beach. This laid-back bar offers great appetizers, mains, and delicious drinks.
They have a fun blonde Bushwacker for a twist on the classic Bushwacker.
Menu highlights - Smoked tuna dip, pub fries, shrimp, pork ribeye sandwich, crispy shrimp tacos, a bacon burger, and more.

If you are looking for a fun open tiki bar that has coastal breezes and great views of Terry Cove you are going to love the The Pleasure Island Tiki Bar at Safe Harbor Sportsman.
The Tiki Bar in Orange Beach has a great happy hour menu! The bone in wings and personal cheese pizza are fantastic.

The Flora Bama Yacht Club offers epic outdoors, eating right on the water.
Menu highlights - The menu is filled with fresh seasonal ingredients, seafood, burgers, and so much more.
Flora Bama Yacht Club serves Island Time Oysters which are locally grown in the Gulf Waters surrounding Dauphin Island, Alabama. This is a great place to enjoy fresh oysters.

The Gulf
The Gulf has an amazing open-air bar and restaurant built out of shipping containers. Located right on the Gulf of Mexico, you can't get a much better view anywhere in town.
They have amazing signature cocktails, great food, and one of the best chill beach vibes.
Menu highlights - shrimp tacos, grouper sandwich, chicken sandwich, loaded fries.
Signature cocktails include the Surfs Up with Malibu Coconut Rum, Peach Schnapps, Pineapple, Cranberry, and Blue Curacao
Infused Vodka Bloody Mary - You have to see the vodka being infused...woah!

I wanted to add a couple of great bars that are just outside of town but well worth the drive.
Pirate's Cove
Pirate's Cove is locate in Elberta right on the water. Just down the street from Bamahenge, and the Lady in the Lake.
This dog-friendly restaurant and bar offers great pizza, wings, and of course a great frozen Bushwacker.
Menu highlights - burgers, beer, fried chicken, sausage and kraut, corn dogs, hot wings, and more.
Pizza is available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only.
