The Best Western Premier The Tides Hotel in Orange Beach, Alabama, is the perfect family-friendly hotel right on the beach.

Best Western Tides Hotel
When the opportunity came up to stay at Best Western Premier The Tides Hotel in Orange Beach, we jumped at the chance. We are working with the Gulf Shores-Orange Beach Visitors Bureau to visit local hotels so we can share our 1st hand knowledge with everyone.
Every time we walk the beach at Cotton Bayou, I look up at the beachfront balconies at The Tides and think about how epic it would be to wake up to sunrise on the balcony.
The private hotel balconies offer unbelievable views over the white sand beaches we all love. You can't go wrong looking at the Gulf of Mexico in awe while relaxing in your room.
Once we checked into The Tides Hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. The lobby is on the fourth floor, with sweeping views out over the water. I had difficulty paying attention at check-in due to looking out over the water.
The lobby has a fantastic seating area that is perfect for relaxing while enjoying the view. There is also an outside covered patio that would be amazing on a gorgeous evening.

The corner balcony is swoon-worthy! We were able to watch the sunset from the balcony after enjoying an amazing pizza in the lobby.
My husband fell asleep sitting on the balcony, listening to the waves below. It was unbelievably relaxing and such a treat to slow down and soak in the views and sounds of the beach.

Make sure to use the coconut lotion in the bathroom. This is the first time in 15 years I have mentioned hotel lotion in a blog post, but it is so good. It smells like a lotion you would find in a high-end tropical store.

The Tides Hotel - Onsite Restaurants and Bars
One of the benefits of staying at Best Western Orange Beach Tides Hotel is the onsite dining available in the lobby area.
You can enjoy freshly baked pizzas in the expansive lobby without worrying about running around town. They also have a truly amazing breakfast buffet everyone needs to try.

High Tides Lobby Bar
High Tides Lobby Bar is located in the 4th-floor lobby area, featuring gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico.
They are known for their amazing homemade pizza. I have to tell you the pizza is delicious! We met Chef Carl who brought our pizza out to the lobby and was super sweet.
While talking to Chef Carl, we learned that he roasts fresh garlic to make the roasted garlic oil for the Perdido and Shoreline Pizza. I had pineapples on my pizza, and he cut the pineapples fresh by hand.
All of the vegetables are cut in-house, and the pizzas are made fresh when you order them. They can customize a pizza with the toppings that you want on it.

My husband had the Land Lovers pizza, and it was packed with meaty goodness. He took one bite and told me it was one of the best pizzas in Orange Beach.
I would think about booking a night at The Tides Hotel so we could enjoy pizza and a drink on the deck overlooking the water.
Pizza options include:
- Classic Cheese
- Classic Pepperoni
- Perdido - Garlic oil, steak, mushroom, red onion, rosemary and thyme
- Shoreline - Roasted garlic oil, shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, bacon, red onion, arugula, and balsamic glaze.

They also have a Bushwacker, fruity frozen cocktails, beer (bottle and can), seltzers, and on the rocks drinks.

Breakfast and Coffee Shop
The breakfast and coffee shop features Lavazza brand espresso-style drinks, freshly baked muffins, pastries, and croissants. They also offer southern biscuits and gravy, shrimp & grits, crepes, and more.
Breakfast Buffet
I NEED you to stay at The Tides so you can enjoy one of the best breakfasts in Orange Beach. I can't believe I am saying this about a hotel breakfast buffet, but it was that good.
Please take the time to meet Gerald and have one of his epic crepes or omelets. I had a strawberry blueberry crepe that was a work of art. It was so great that I could have been in a high-end restaurant.

Gerald also whipped up a freshly made omelet that tasted amazing. You can choose from a bunch of ingredients to create your omelet.
If you are not a crepe or omelet person, don't worry. The buffet also has shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, a yogurt bar with freshly cut fruit, white chocolate chips, granola, and more.
There is an assortment of pastries and bread, bacon, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, cereal, and more.
I promise you will not leave this buffet hungry unless you choose to. Sydney and the rest of the staff are excellent. They want you to have the best experience possible while you are at the hotel.
Sydney told me they want people to be able to relax and enjoy their time at the hotel.

Low Tides Poolside Bar
Low Tides is located next to the Gulf front pool, offering delicious cocktails!
They were closed during our visit due to winter weather. We can't wait to go back this spring and try a drink by the pool.

Grab and Go Deli
The food in the grab-and-go deli is made in-house, and it looks incredible. The salads and wraps looked so good we almost did a bit of grocery shopping to bring meals home with us.
Make sure to pick up a bag of freshly baked cookies! Yes, you read that right. They have freshly baked cookies available in the lobby. During our stay, they had chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, and white chocolate macadamia.

The Tides Orange Beach Hotel Amenities

There is a great outdoor pool that is heated open from 10 am to 10 pm. The views from the pool deck are swoon-worthy!
