We have been on a quest to find the best breakfast restaurant in Gulf Shores, AL. When we moved to the area, we decided it was time to dive deep into all of the epic local restaurants and see which ones we loved.

We actually visited Gulf Shores Diner for the 1st time the week we moved to Gulf Shores. I can't even express how happy we were to have a hot breakfast after driving across the country with six cats in the car. Yes, six cats. It was quite the adventure, and walking into Gulf Shores Diner that first morning felt like a breath of fresh air.

It felt so good to sit down and take a deep breath after days on the road. Throw in the truly amazing customer service and fun from our waitress, and it was fantastic. That first visit set the tone for many return trips because Gulf Shores Diner delivers consistent quality, friendly service, and the kind of breakfast that makes you feel at home.

This local restaurant is great for brunch, breakfast, or lunch. They are open early, so you can enjoy a 4-star breakfast before heading out to the beach. Whether you're fueling up for a full day of activities or just want a leisurely morning meal, Gulf Shores Diner provides the perfect setting and menu to start your day right.

Indoor Seating

The restaurant has a surprising amount of seating for what appears to be a small diner from the outside. Inside, you'll find a combination of tables and booths that accommodate different group sizes comfortably.

The tables can fit both large and small groups. We saw a large family enjoying breakfast together and having a great time, spread across multiple tables that the staff had arranged for them.

The two of us enjoyed a wonderful table that was super comfortable. Whether you're dining solo, as a couple, or with a group, there's appropriate seating. The layout provides enough space between tables that you don't feel cramped or like you're sitting on top of other diners.

Gulf Shores Diner captures that authentic American diner atmosphere: friendly, unpretentious, and focused on good food and service. There's no fancy decor or trendy aesthetics, just a clean, comfortable space where the emphasis is on the meal and the people you're sharing it with.

The Gulf Shores Diner is open for Breakfast and Lunch. They serve traditional diner food including sausage gravy, fresh eggs, buttermilk pancakes, a stack of pancakes, cheese omelets, and all the classic diner favorites you crave!

3x3x4 - 3 pancakes, 3 eggs, and 4 bacon strips or 4 sausage links, or 4 slices of ham.

Monte Cristo - French toast layered with ham, turkey, and melted white Swiss cheese, dusted with powdered sugar, served with hashbrowns.

French Toast Combo - 4 triangles of French Toast with 2 eggs, hash browns, 2 bacon strips or 2 sausage links.

Farmer's Breakfast - 2 eggs scrambled with ham, bacon, sausage, onions, green peppers and Hash browns smothered with cheddar cheese and country gravy, served with a biscuit.

Eggs Benedict - 2 poached eggs covered in hollandaise sauce on top of an English Muffin with ham, served with hash browns or grits. They also have a Spinach Eggs Benedict.

Rib-eyed steak and eggs - tender rib eye steak grilled to order with 2 eggs, hash browns, and toast.

Hash brown skillet with country fried steak - mushrooms, onions, green peppers, cheddar cheese, a biscuit, 2 eggs on a bed of hash browns served with 2 bacon and 2 sausage with country fried steak and gravy.

Please confirm with the restaurant to ensure that the hours have not changed.

Accessibility - There is a ramp leading into the restaurant. There is pretty good room around tables and chairs to move around the restaurant.

Plus Size Seating - The chairs do not have arms and were really comfortable to sit in. There is also pretty large size booths but we have not sat in them yet.

Dress Code/Suggestions - Casual. Beach attire, shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops are all perfectly acceptable. Come as you are.

Pets - Pets are not allowed in the restaurant

Parking  - There is a small parking area in front of the restaurant. I would not try to bring an RV or larger rig into the parking lot. Standard cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks fit fine, but larger vehicles should park elsewhere.
