✨What's New in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach
Restaurants at The Wharf Orange Beach
Living in Gulf Shores we find ourselves at The Wharf frequently for events, shopping, and date nights. The variety of restaurant options at The Wharf makes it really easy to something everytime we visit.
With the new Orange Beach Margaritaville Resort being built directly across the Intracoastal Waterway we are seeing lots of updates to restaurants and bars at The Wharf.
Date Night and Fine Dining
If you are looking for a great dinner for a date night, business meeting, or a sit-down family dinner, these Wharf Restaurants offer great menus, comfortable seating, and delicious food.

Villaggio Grille
One of our favorite date night restaurants in Orange Beach, and consistently one of the best meals you can have at The Wharf. Italian-inspired casual fine dining with wood-fired pizzas, fresh Gulf seafood, house-made pastas, and a dinner menu that changes regularly to feature the freshest ingredients available. The outdoor bar is perfect for a drink before or after a Wharf Amphitheater show.
Best for: Date nights, special occasions, pre-concert dinner

Mile Marker 158 Dockside
Located next to the Springhill Suites and The Wharf Marina with epic outdoor seating overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. One of the best waterfront views of any restaurant at The Wharf, we have watched dolphins swim past while eating here. The Truffle Chips appetizer is something I would drive to the restaurant specifically for. My husband LOVES the Beef Tenderloin Bites.
Best for: Waterfront dining, Sunday brunch, couples, dolphin watching at dinner
Casual Dining and Bar Food
The Wharf is filled with casual dining options and great bar food. The coastal chill atmosphere of the complex is perfect for a low-key lunch or dinner out.

Jimmy Buffett's Last Mango Bar and Chill - Coming Soon
The Last Mango Bar and Chill Margaritaville-inspired concept is heading to The Wharf in Orange Beach.

Southern Grind Coffee House
Specialty coffee, tea, breakfast, lunch, homemade pastries, gelato, and one of the best coastal gift shops at The Wharf. Open since 2012 and a beloved Wharf staple. The dog-friendly pooch porch makes it a great stop if you are bringing your leashed pet to The Wharf. The menu covers a surprisingly wide range of options.
Best for: Morning coffee, breakfast, lunch, coastal gifts, pet-friendly stop

Ginny Lane Bar and Grill
Casual dining for Sunday brunch, lunch, and dinner right on The Wharf Marina. A great multi-generational family restaurant, we always see grandparents, parents, and kids all happily eating together. The outdoor deck overlooks the marina with views of the yachts and boats docked below. My husband cannot stop talking about the Gulf Shrimp and Grits with pork belly, cheddar grits, and Creole cream sauce.
Best for: Families, waterfront casual dining, Sunday brunch, groups

YoHo Rum and Taco Bar
YoHo closed their original Wharf location in September 2025 and reopened at a new location at The Wharf in My 2026. Tacos, wings, fajita skillets, appetizers, and great cocktails.
Best for: Casual tacos and cocktails, groups
Dick's Last Resort
The legendary irreverent restaurant chain known for its sassy servers, bucket cocktails, rude paper hats, and intentionally outrageous atmosphere. This is not the place to go if you are easily offended, but if you are looking for a genuinely fun, unpredictable, laugh-out-loud lunch or dinner experience, Dick's delivers every time. The servers are the entertainment. The food is solid. The bucket drinks are worth getting. A great stop for bachelorette parties, birthday groups, and anyone who wants a memorable meal.
Best for: Bachelorette parties, birthday groups, anyone who loves rowdy fun

Tee Off at The Wharf
The Gulf Coast's largest swing suites powered by Top Golf at Portside on Main. Five swing suite bays with food, craft drinks, and entertainment for all ages. You order food and drinks right at your bay. Great for corporate outings, birthday parties, date nights, and family groups who want something more interactive than a sit-down dinner. Tee Off also hosts regular Live Music Nights at Portside on the outdoor stage - check the events calendar at alwharf.com for current dates.
Best for: Groups, corporate events, date nights, interactive dining
Pizza, Quick Bites, and Deli
If you are looking for a grab and go option, quick lunch, or something to help a hangry moment these are great Wharf restaurant options.

Vinny's Pizzeria
Located right next to the Ferris Wheel, Vinny's is The Wharf's go-to casual pizza spot. Great pizzas by the slice, 16-inch and 24-inch whole pizzas, calzones, and the fan-favorite Pepperoni Log. My husband gets the Pepperoni Log every single time and tells everyone he knows about it. The staff even suggested adding a mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend and now it is his permanent order. Available for dine-in, pickup, or delivery.
Best for: Casual pizza, quick meals, feeding the group after the Ferris Wheel

Island Time Daiquiris
Frozen daiquiris and pizza at The Wharf - a combination that works better than it sounds. A great casual to-go or sit-down option for sipping a frozen drink while watching the SPECTRA Laser Light Show or strolling the marina. The reviews mention solid food alongside the drinks.
Best for: Quick casual meals, frozen drinks, families, to-go while exploring The Wharf

The Beli
Deli-style sandwiches and casual bites at The Wharf. A good quick lunch option between shopping and attractions when you do not want a full sit-down experience.
Best for: Quick lunch, sandwiches, casual bites

The Sugar Shack and Cafe
Sweet treats and cafe bites at The Wharf. A casual stop for something sweet during your visit. They have burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, ice cream, beignets, and a lot of bulk candy options.
Best for: Quick sweet treats, casual snacks
Drinks and Cocktail Bars
If you are looking for a bar or restaurant with great cocktails to enjoy before heading to the Wharf Ampitheater for a show or to relax with friends these are great options.

8 Reale
The most unique bar experience at The Wharf and one of the most fun in all of Orange Beach. Hidden behind a vault door, 8 Reale is a swanky speakeasy with craft cocktails, an intimate atmosphere, and a daily entry code posted on the 8 Reale OBAL Facebook page. Named for the Spanish coin commonly found at Gulf Coast shipwrecks. Find the code, find the vault door next to Frank and Co. Jewelry, and step into something completely unlike everything else at The Wharf.
Best for: Date nights, cocktail lovers, anyone who wants something different
How to get in: Check the 8 Reale OBAL Facebook page on the day of your visit for the daily code

Gulf Babe Wine Boutique
The chic pink wine bar at Portside on Main offering wine flights, craft cocktails, and a social wine experience. A great stop for a girls trip, a pre-dinner drink, or anyone who wants a boutique wine bar atmosphere steps from the marina.
Best for: Girls trips, wine lovers, pre-dinner cocktails

Crush Wine
A retail wine shop at The Wharf offering a curated range of wines. A good stop for picking up a bottle to enjoy on your condo balcony or at the marina. They serve tapas and pizzas along with wine by the glass.
Best for: Picking up a bottle, wine gifts

Alabama Sweet Tea Company
Fresh brewed sweet tea and Southern drinks at Portside on Main. A great non-alcoholic option at The Wharf, it hits perfectly on a warm Alabama afternoon.
Address: Portside on Main, The Wharf Best for: Non-alcoholic drinks, Southern sweet tea fans
Sweet Treats and Dessert
These Wharf Restaurants are the perfect stop for ice cream, chocolate, fudge, or a sweet treat to enjoy while walking around the Wharf.

Kilwins Orange Beach
Two locations at The Wharf - Main Street and Portside on Main. Hand-crafted Mackinac Island Fudge made in copper kettles and cooled on marble tables right in the store. Fair Trade Heritage Chocolate. Original Recipe ice cream in 30-plus flavors available only at Kilwins. Freshly made waffle cones. Caramel apples hand-dipped in made-in-store caramel. Outdoor seating at the Main Street location with perfect views of the SPECTRA Laser Light Show.
Best for: Dessert, gifts, sweet treats for the whole group, SPECTRA Laser Light Show viewing

Crave Cookies
New York-style gourmet cookies at Portside on Main with a weekly rotating menu and dirty sodas. The warm Crave Chocolate Chip Cookie loaded with Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips is something everyone at The Wharf should try at least once. Available by the cookie or in 4, 6, or 12-pack boxes.
Best for: Cookie lovers, sweet treats, dirty sodas

Dippin' Dots
The classic beads-of-ice-cream experience right at The Wharf. A fun and nostalgic treat for kids and adults alike, especially on a hot Alabama Gulf Coast afternoon after a day of walking the marina.
Best for: Kids, nostalgia, a cool treat on a hot day

Tips for Dining at The Wharf
Arrive early on concert nights. When there is a show at the Wharf Amphitheater, every restaurant at The Wharf gets busy. Reservations at Villaggio Grille and Mile Marker 158 are especially important on concert nights. Ginny Lane and Vinny's are good walk-in options if you have not planned ahead.
The SPECTRA Laser Light Show runs at 7:30, 8:00, and 8:30 PM nightly. Time your after-dinner sweet treat at Kilwins or Crave Cookies to line up with the show. The outdoor seating at Kilwins on Main Street is one of the best spots to watch.
Parking is free but fills fast. The two multi-level parking garages fill from the upper levels down during peak evenings. Arrive by 5 PM during summer and on concert nights. The Main Street level is easiest for restaurant access.
Portside on Main is a separate entrance. If you are looking for Crave Cookies, Gulf Babe, Alabama Sweet Tea, Tee Off, or the second Kilwins location, Portside on Main is near the front entrance to The Wharf off Canal Road.
