8 Reale Orange Beach

If you are looking for a fun night out with delicious cocktails and secret entrances, this is the Orange Beach bar you want to check out.

Hidden behind a vault door is a swanky speakeasy called 8 Reale Obal (obal = Orange Beach, Alabama).

8 Reale is a Spanish coin that was minted from the late 1400's until the early 1800's. They are commonly found at shipwrecks around the Gulf Coast. Pretty cool lost treasure or in this case a swanky speakeasy.

To gain access to the speakeasy, you have to visit the 8 Reale OBAL Facebook page on the day you plan to visit. The secret code is posted daily within their Facebook post. Hint: Look for the # and the 4 numbers.

The speakeasy is located next to the Frank & Co. Jewelry Store. in The Wharf Orange Beach.

Once inside, you will find amazing bartenders who know how to mix a well-crafted cocktail made with fresh ingredients.

This is the perfect atmosphere to relax, whether you are on vacation, live here and want a fun night out, or want a drink before heading to the Wharf Amphitheater.

If you are a cocktail connoisseur looking for a well-balanced cocktail with amazing flavor, you are going to enjoy this experience. I was really impressed with how perfectly blended the cocktails were while maintaining a lovely flavor.

The seating is spread out in groupings, so you can enjoy a quiet date night atmosphere or get together with a group of friends and catch up easily.

Indoor Bar

The indoor bar is a work of art! It is a gorgeous visual art piece of bottles, glasses, and bar accessories. I find myself continually looking to see what I can see around the bar area.

There are tall bar chairs so you can comfortable sit at the bar and talk with one of the highly skilled mixologists.

The 8 Reale Orange Menu includes cocktail classics, a huge list of alcohol available by type including rare bourbons, and so much more.

Menu Highlights

The menu is filled with more options that you expect. The servers and bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and can help you pick a cocktail that fits your flavor palate.

Non-Alcoholic - Herbal Colada, Matcha Mamma, The Queen's Gambit, and Berry Blissful.

Vegan/Vegetarian - We did not have any problems finding a drink.

Make sure to ask about their amazing charcuterie boards. Every time we visit they have something new added to the charcuterie boards that tastes amazing.

Hours - Friday and Saturday - 5 pm to 1 am

Sunday to Thursday - 5 pm to 12 am

Please confirm with the bar to ensure that the hours have not changed.

Accessibility - The bar is located on one level with concrete flooring. There is a large safe door to go through in order to reach the bar.

Plus Size Seating - There are couches which are pretty comfortable. Most of the chairs have arms but some of them are fairly good sized.

Dress Code/Suggestions - This is really up to you. We saw casual, dressy, and everything in between.

Pets - Pets are not allowed in the bar.

Parking  - The Wharf has parking garages and street parking.

Villaggio Grille - Epic Italian food with indoor and outdoor seating. Check out their great new outdoor bar which is perfect for a drink before a show. We love their new open-air bar.

Cetacean Cruises - Catch an epic dolphin cruise right from The Wharf. We saw dolphins within five minutes of our cruise leaving the dock.

Ginny Lane Bar and Grill - Enjoy a great meal with a fun atmosphere.
