    Meyer Park - Gulf Shores

Published: May 9, 2026 by Tammilee · This post may contain affiliate links

Meyer Park is a 12-acre city park in the heart of Gulf Shores, maintained by the City of Gulf Shores Parks and Recreation department. With a shaded playground, picnic shelters, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, and open grass fields, it covers a wide range of outdoor activities. Sprawling oak trees provide plenty of shade throughout the park, making it a comfortable spot even on warm Gulf Coast days.

Meyer Park is a great park in the heart of Gulf Shores. I love walking the walking path around the park. It is paved and makes for a great easy walk to get some steps in while listening to the birds all over the park.

The park has a great covered Gulf Shores playground, perfect for burning off energy in little ones. There are benches next to the play area for adults to be close by.

There is free parking surrounding the park and it is close to Waterway Village so you can easily pick up a coffee from Foam Coffee, acai bowl or smoothie from Fruitful, or grab a meal at Tacky Jacks Gulf Shores after playing.

The covered picnic shelter is a great place to enjoy sandwiches and a sweet treat from Amelia's Deli.
