Kitty's Kafe
When you ask someone local where they eat breakfast you will most likely hear Kitty's Kafe Gulf Shores at least once as a suggestion.
When we first started coming to Gulf Shores, we would ask for breakfast restaurant suggestions and people would look at us like we had lost our minds since we hadn't tried Kitty's Kafe yet.
Once we visited for the first time, we understood why we kept getting the looks. This small local restaurant offers amazing food and great prices.
This is Southern comfort food done right. The staff is hilarious in their interactions while offering amazing customer service.
You feel like you are dining in a large family atmosphere with everyone knowing each other and picking on each other to get a laugh.
Be prepared; it can be hard to decide what to order because every plate that goes by to another table looks delicious, and the menu is filled with comfort food selections that fill you up.
From chicken fried steak to biscuits and gravy, you really can't go wrong with anything you order at Kitty's
Indoor Seating
The restaurant is not large, but they have a fair amount of seating inside. There are booths and tables available.
We suggest arriving early so you don't have to wait to long for a table. This breakfast diner is very popular!
Indoor Bar
There is a tiny bar in the corner of the restaurant, but when I say tiny, I mean tiny!!!
Outdoor Seating
There are a few tables outside of the restaurant with umbrellas.

The menu is stacked full of Southern Comfort foods done right. You can expect great flavors, comfort food, and great portion size. Delicious food you will want to go back for again and again.
While their menu is simple, it is filled with some of the best food in Gulf Shores.
Breakfast Menu Highlights -
Breakfast Burrito - Scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, with grits or potato
Eggs Benedict with Canadian Bacon, Crab Cake, or Fried Green Tomato
Southern Benedict - Biscuit, sausage, over medium egg, and gravy.
Garden Omelet - Cheese, pepper, onion, mushroom and tomatoes, served with grits or potato, toast or biscuit.
Kitty's Kristo Breakfast Sandwiches with grits or potato - YUM!
Lunch Menu Highlights -
Daily Special with one meat and two sides - Meat options include chicken dumplings, chicken livers, meatloaf, country fried steak, smothered pork, baked or sauté chicken, hamburger steak, pork chops, fried chicken or beef tips.
Side options include green beans, lima beans, speckled butter beans, field peas, turnip greens, steamed cabbage, mashed potato and gravy, mac and cheese, baked sweet potato, squash casserole, fried okra, fried green tomato, onion petals, broccoli salad, cucumber salad, cole slaw, fries, and more.
Sausage and Seafood Gumbo
BLT - Classic with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on toast.
Greek Chicken with artichoke, and tomato chutney, and feta, served with Greek Salad.
Dessert options include bread pudding with whiskey sauce or homemade cobbler.
Kids Menu - They have a kitten menu for kids 10 and under that includes, pancakes, hamburger, chicken tenders, shrimp, grilled cheese, and more.
Gluten-Free - There are multiple egg options and meat that do not include gluten.
Vegan - They have salads, fresh fruit, veggies, and side dishes (just confirm that they don't have bacon grease in them)
Vegetarian - The Kitty Kristo sandwich is fantastic. They have a lot of meals you can enjoy without meat in them.

Things to know when planning a visit to Kitty's Cafe
Kitty's Kafe is located right across from Target in the corner of the Pelican Place shopping complex.

There is a different Kittys Cafe located in Kansas City. Make sure you use the Gulf Shores Address.

Hours - Monday-Saturday 7 am -2 pm Closed on Sunday
Please confirm with the restaurant to ensure that the hours have not changed.
Accessibility - There is a ramp right near the entrance to the restaurant. The tables inside the restaurant can be moved around if extra space is needed.
Plus Size Seating - The chairs inside do not have arms and were pretty comfortable. The outside seating is picnic tables so it will depend on if you are comfortable sitting at a picnic table when the bench can not be moved.
Dress Code/Suggestions - Casual
Pets - The outdoor dining area is pet friendly.
Parking - There is a nice size parking area in front of the restaurant.
Reservations - The restaurant does not take reservations.
