Published: Apr 5, 2026 by Tammilee · This post may contain affiliate links

Ruby Slipper Cafe is one of our favorite New Orleans spots for breakfast and brunch. Every location has consistently been fantastic. The regular menu is filled with great options, and they have amazing seasonal menus, so there is always something new.

Brunch born in New Orleans. That is the Ruby Slipper's tagline, and it is not an exaggeration. We have visited Ruby Slipper Cafes in three states and loved it every time.

The menu is built around scratch-made food with a New Orleans spin on Southern breakfast classics that keeps you coming back.

The Benedicts alone are worth planning a visit around. They are served on house-made buttermilk biscuits instead of English muffins, and you can mix and match any two with the Peacemaker option. Add a mimosa flight or a Bloody Mary made with house-infused bacon vodka and you have a proper New Orleans morning.

Photos in this post are from the French Quarter Canal Street location.

    Outdoor Seating

Outdoor seating depends on the Ruby Slipper New Orleans location you are visiting. The French Quarter Canal Street Location has a few tables outside along Canal Street that are fantastic for people watching.

    Ruby Slipper New Orleans Menu

Ruby Slipper is open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The Ruby Slipper Cafe menu features Southern and New Orleans classics done right.

Make sure to ask your server if they have a seasonal menu during your visit. One of our favorite reasons to return to Ruby Slipper is the seasonal menus. They are always filled with amazing seasonal flavors. Some of the menu items I keep hoping will become permanent menu items they are that good.
