Gulf State Park RV Resort

My husband was a park ranger for 20 years which led us to visiting a lot of campgrounds around the country. The 1st time I pulled into the Gulf State Park RV Resort we both paused in awe. WOW! This is a Resort made for RV travelers.

The planning that went into this campground is amazing. The amenities are phenomenal with a salt water pool, putting green, pickleball court, epic kid's play area, hiking trails, clubhouse, and so much more. The amenities are close to the campsites but not right on top of them so you can enjoy quiet when you want some.

Campsite Types

The Gulf State Park RV Resort has 104 full-hookup campsites. All sites include a large concrete pad, paved patio, pedestal grill, fire pit, and picnic table. Sites are spacious and designed to accommodate larger rigs comfortably.

Standard Full-Hookup Site Large concrete pad with paved patio. Up to 50-amp power, water, and sewer hookups at every site. Pedestal grill, fire pit, and picnic table included. Most sites have views of the park's natural landscape, water features, or surrounding woods.

The saltwater swimming pool at the Gulf State Park RV Resort is a standout amenity. The splash pad alongside the pool is a great option for younger campers who want water play in a safe, shallow area. Bathhouses and Laundry

Two modern bathhouses with private shower suites serve the RV Resort - a significant upgrade from standard campground bathhouses. Private shower suites mean no waiting in line and a much more comfortable experience than shared facilities.

Trails and Outdoor Activities

The RV Resort has mulched hiking trails on the property for easy access to the surrounding natural landscape. Guests also have direct access to the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail - 28 miles of paved and unpaved trails through nine Gulf Coast ecosystems including dunes, forests, freshwater lakes, and marshes. The backcountry trail is one of the best biking and birdwatching trails on the entire Gulf Coast.

Firewood - Buy it where you burn it. Do not bring firewood from home, transporting firewood can introduce invasive insects to the park's forest. Firewood is available for purchase at the office building.

Wildlife - Gulf State Park is home to alligators, snakes, and a wide range of wildlife. Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Wave Runners and Jet Skis - Not permitted in Gulf State Park lakes for safety reasons.
