If you are looking for a casual breakfast restaurant in Gulf Shores, Al, check out the Island Pancake House.
While the menu is not huge they offer the breakfast comfort food we all love to start the day. The Island Pancake House staff was friendly and really helpful.
Indoor Seating
There is only indoor seating inside of Island Pancake House. The seating consists of tables and chairs spread through a comfortable room with a great view of the Gulf of Mexico.
The dining area has a nice, comfortable coastal feel.
Island Pancake House Menu
The Island Pancake House menu offers comfort food breakfast and lunch. One thing to know is the ham slice is salty!
If you like strong salt flavors you will enjoy the ham if you prefer a sweet ham this may not be what you want to order.
Menu Highlights - Build your own pancakes and Belgian waffles, build your own omelets, shrimp & fried green tomatoes, and more.
Pancakes or Waffles - Add blueberries, strawberries, pecans, chocolate chips, cheesecake bites. Top with banana foster, banana caramel, fresh strawberries, peaches, or blueberries.
Cinnamon Roll Pancakes - Cream cheese drizzle over 3 fluffy cinnamon roll pancakes.
Island crabcake breakfast - 2 large crabcakes with a side of house-made remoulade, 2 farm fresh eggs, hashbrowns, or grits.
Island Burger - served with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion on a sesame seed bun.
Club sandwich - turkey, extra thick bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise on toasted bread.
Smoked alligator sausage breakfast - 2 smoked alligator sausage links, two farm fresh eggs, hashbrowns or grits, and your choice of bread.
Island chicken fried steak - chicken fried steak topped with country gravy, two farm fresh eggs, hashbrowns or grits, and a choice of bread.
Island Corned Beef Hash - premium corned beef hash served with two farm fresh eggs, hashbrowns or grits, and choice of bread.
Southern Islander - one biscuit split topped with sausage gravy, two farm fresh eggs, two thick bacon strips, one sausage patty, and a choice of hash browns or grits.

Vegan - I am unsure what would be great for a vegan diet. Maybe the hashbrowns, but you would want to ask if they have added butter.
Vegetarian - The build your own omelets are a great option along with the pancakes and waffles.

June, July, and August can be incredibly busy in Gulf Shores! Make sure to plan time in case the restaurant is busy.
Accessibility - There is a ramp leading from the parking area into the hotel and then the restaurant is down the hall.
Plus Size Seating - The chairs do not have arms and are pretty comfortable.
Dress Code/Suggestions - Casual
Pets - No Pets are allowed within the restaurant.
Parking - Parking is at the Best Western in the hotel parking lot. It does say permit only but you can park there are a restaurant guest.
Just make sure you do not park there all day and only use the parking lot for the meal you are enjoying. The restaurant closes after 2pm so it is easy for them to see who is not a hotel guest.
