Lagoon Tower Gulf Shores

Lagoon Tower in Gulf Shores sits on Little Lagoon on the quiet West Beach stretch, offering views of either Little Lagoon or the Gulf of Mexico, depending on which side of the building you are on.

With only 32 units total and just two condos per floor for floors 1 - 14 and then 4 penthouses with the entire floor, this is one of the most private and low-density vacation rental buildings on the Alabama Gulf Coast

The building faces Little Lagoon with deeded beach access just across the street to the Gulf, which means you get both. Sunsets over the lagoon from the pool deck. Sugar-white sand and Gulf waves a short walk away.

A private covered fishing pier on the lagoon. An indoor pool and hot tub for rainy days. Lagoon Tower is genuinely one of the best-kept secrets on West Beach.

Beach Access

Lagoon Tower has private deeded beach access just across the street. A boardwalk takes you directly to the sugar-white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, and an outdoor shower is available to rinse off before heading back.

Rental Types

Lagoon Tower is a low-density luxury complex with only 32 units and two condos per floor on the 1st to 14th floors. The top 4 floors are penthouses, which means the building never feels crowded or chaotic. Units are three-bedroom, three-bathroom condos that sleep up to 8 guests on the 1st 14 floors. Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout each unit provide views of Little Lagoon, the Gulf of Mexico, and the beach from virtually every room.

Condo Amenities

Lagoon Tower in Gulf Shores has both an indoor and outdoor pool, a fitness center, beach access across the street, a private fishing pier, and more.

Outdoor Pool

The Lagoon Tower's outdoor pool overlooks Little Lagoon, with a great deck for lounging. The pool is not heated.

Indoor Pool

The indoor pool and hot tub at Lagoon Tower are perfect for a rainy day in Gulf Shores. The indoor pool and hot tub are open from 8 am to 10 pm.

Barbecue Area

There are a couple of barbecues available on the pool deck overlooking Little Lagoon. I suggest bringing a basket or something to bring BBQ tools down from the condo to the pool deck.

There is a table and chairs next to the barbecues so you can enjoy your meal with gorgeous views of Little Lagoon. The barbecues are at either end of the pool deck.

Private Fishing Pier

Lagoon Towers has a private covered fishing pier on Little Lagoon. There is a walkway out to the fishing pier from the pool deck area. The pier has a couple of built-in benches so you can relax and enjoy the view.

Little Lagoon is home to flounder, speckled trout, redfish, and more. A valid Alabama saltwater fishing license is required for fishing from the pier.

Exercise Room/Gym

The Lagoon Tower fitness center has an elliptical, a treadmill, and a weight machine with a gorgeous view of Little Lagoon.

Parking

There is parking in front of the Lagoon Tower Building with a pull through area next to the front entranc to load and unload.

Guests need a parking pass to park in the parking lot. There is security at the complex who checks the parking lot. Make sure you know when/where the parking pass will be when you set up your vacation rental.

Property Policies

Quiet Hours - 10 pm - 8 am

Pets - Pets are not allowed per the condo association

Smoking - No smoking inside units or on balconies

Keys - The keys for each unit are kept in a lock box that are connected to the stairwell. You will need a code to retrieve the key from the lock box. The key ring also has the elevator fob so you can make it to the unit.

Travel tip - Make sure to stop at a public beach restroom or have the pool door code ready to reach a bathroom if anyone needs one when you arrive. The key locks are stretched up the stairwell, and you need to bend over to get to them.

Accessibility

There is accessible parking near the front entrane to the condo unit. There are elevators available to reach each unit.

The keys are kept on a stairwell that goes up multiple stairs with the only way to reach the top keys is going up those stairs. If you have mobility restrictions I would advice the vacation rental company so they can make sure to have their lock at the bottom of the stairs.

There are no pool lifts that we saw during our last visit for accessible entry into the pool.

What's Near Lagoon Tower in Gulf Shores

Lagoon Pass Park - Just down West Beach Boulevard at the Lee Callaway Bridge. Dual access to both Little Lagoon and the Gulf of Mexico, a fishing pier, restrooms, and outdoor shower. A great low-crowd beach option steps from Lagoon Tower.

Janino's Pizza - The best pizza delivery on West Beach. New York style, homemade hand-tossed dough, and free delivery right to your Lagoon Tower door. Pick up or delivery only, no indoor seating. A West Beach staple.

The Beach House Kitchen and Cocktails - Great food, great specials, and a casual atmosphere right in the West Beach neighborhood. Signature cocktails, a covered porch, and a menu that covers everything from crawfish mac and cheese to a half-pound Angus burger.

Island Ice Cream and Treats - Giant mason jar ice cream sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes, and Blue Bell hand-scooped flavors. Right on West Beach Boulevard.

Bahama Bob's Beach Side Cafe - A beloved Gulf Shores local restaurant at 601 West Beach Blvd with beach access, great seafood, and signature Bushwackers. Loved by locals and visitors alike.

Mythic Beach Banana Bar - Frozen bananas on a stick dipped in candy shell and topped with everything you can imagine. Also serves cheesecake and hand-scooped ice cream. One of our favorite sweet spots on West Beach.
