Bahama Bob's Beach Side Cafe is a beloved restaurant in Gulf Shores, Alabama. It is loved by both locals and visitors for its delicious food, beach access, and great atmosphere.

Last summer, Bahama Bobs suffered a devastating fire that unfortunately closed the restaurant until May 2024!
The restaurant is now fully open, and everyone is celebrating the opportunity to get their favorite coconut shrimp and seafood!
One thing that I love about living in Gulf Shores is how community-oriented the area is. When Bahama Bob's fire disaster happened last summer, local restaurants stepped up and hired all of the Bahama Bob's employees.
The fire mess has been cleaned up and the restaurant has opened its kitchen door to locals and visitors!

Indoor Seating
The indoor seating consists of comfortable chairs and tables spread throughout the room. The tables can be combined to make a larger table.
There are nice TVs on the wall great for watching a big game or event.
Indoor Bar
The indoor bar has tall bar chairs and comfortable seating near the bartenders. Bahama Bob's has a full bar menu.
Outdoor Seating
The outdoor seating is really comfortable. The window covers can be lowered in case the weather is bad.
There is a great breeze coming in off the Gulf and you can see views of the Gulf between buildings and looking out towards the beach.
Bahama Bobs Menu
The Bahama Bob's menu is filled with everything you hope to find at a beachside restaurant. Fresh gulf seafood, fried goodness, and key lime pie just to name a few things.
My husband would say that YOU HAVE to order the coconut shrimp. That it far surpasses all of the epic things he had heard about it before trying it. It is so good he is already telling me we need to go back again and again and again.

Appetizers - Buffalo wings, shrimp cocktail, Pirate Wells Alligator Bites, Bimini Style steamed shrimp, Crab Cay crab claws, Hurricane Hole fried mushrooms, onion rings, Normans Cay Fried Cheese, Treasure Island seafood gumbo, Spicy Cajun Fried Crawfish Tails, Stanial Cay Chicken Tenders, and of course the world-famous golden fried Popcorn Shrimp.
Nassau Grilled White Fish - glazed with the restaurants special seasoning and char-grilled.
Governors Harbour Grilled Tuna - Yellow fin tuna seasoned and grilled to order.
The Big Kahuna - Large hand cut USDA steak char grilled to order.
Paradise Island Fried Pecan Flounder - Pecan crusted flounder filet, fried, and served over a bed of French fries and Cole slaw.
Crab Cay Baked Whitefish - Fresh white fish stuffed with the restaurants own crabmeat stuffing, then topped with shrimp and baked. Served with new potatoes and the vegetable of the day.
Bahama Bob's Burger - topped with grilled pineapple, bacon and double Swiss cheese. A friend said this is her personal favorite that she orders every time.
Island seafood includes coconut fried shrimp, fried shrimp, fried oysters, fried whitefish, fried crawfish, fried seafood platter, fried captains platter, fried scallop bonanza, and fried popcorn shrimp dinner. All served with French fries and Cole slaw.
Fried seafood Po-boys served on New Orleans French Bread - crawfish, fish, shrimp, oyster, or the catch of the day.
Kids Menu - The Bahama Bob's kids menu includes hamburger, fried shrimp, chicken fingers, fish filets, grilled cheese sandwich, or a corn dog served with French Fries.
Desserts - Key lime pie, cheesecake, and soft serve vanilla ice cream..
Gluten-Free - steamed deep water red shrimp, steamed crab legs, salads, Bimini style steamed shrimp, crab cay crab claws, Nassau grilled flounder, Grilled tuna, grilled shrimp, grilled chicken, grilled scallops
Vegan - Salad without cheese, possibly the vegetable of the day, depending on how it is cooked.
Vegetarian - Salad, grilled cheese, broccoli, onion rings, Cole slaw, vegetable of the day, mozzarella sticks, fried mushrooms
Signature Cocktails - Bushwhackers and Mudslides, the Bahama Bob, Bahama Mama, The Rum Runner, Tropical Cooler, Blueberry Bay Breeze and a full bar is available.

Accessibility - There is a ramp leading up to the restaurant. There is room on the porch to move around and room within the restaurant.
Plus Size Seating - The chairs do not have arms and were really comfortable. The chairs feel really sturdy and don't rock when you sit on them.

Parking - There is parking next to the restaurant that is also used for beach access.
