One thing I love about Royal Palms is that it is right next to Gulf State Park. The parking lot is on the edge, and then you are in the park. You can walk out to the beach and head East a little bit and be in a quieter section of the beach easily.
The walk from Royal Palms to the Gulf State Park Pier and back is gorgeous. Check out the area where local Christmas Trees are placed each year to help build up the sand dunes.

Direct Beach Access
Royal Palms has direct beach access with a boardwalk over the sand dunes. There are outdoor showers available to rinse off before heading back to your vacation rental.
Make sure to check the daily beach warning flags before entering the Gulf.
Outdoor Pool
The outdoor pool at Royal Palms overlooks the beach with lounge chairs spread around the pool deck and a gorgeous view of the Gulf.
Later in the afternoon, the sun is blocked from the pool, offering a great break from the intense UV index.
Indoor Pool & Hot Tub
The indoor pool requires a door code to access the pool. Don't forget to bring it down with you when you are ready to enjoy pool time.
Barbecue Area
The BBQ area is next to the outdoor pool. There are two charcoal grills available along with a table and benches. There is a gorgeous view of the water so you can relax and soak in the Gulf breeze.
Exercise Room/Gym
There is a small fitness room with a treadmill and an exercise bike, looking out towards the water.
