Martinique is a quiet, beautifully landscaped coastal community surrounded by Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge on three sides and the Gulf of Mexico on the fourth.

A network of bridges, walkways, and boardwalks connects every residence to the community amenities, the beach, and the surrounding nature trails. Golf carts are permitted for licensed drivers in designated areas

Martinique on the Gulf has fantastic community amenities including an indoor/outdoor pool, a large outdoor pool with views of the beach, direct beach access, tennis courts, hiking trails, and easy access to Bon Secour NWR.

Direct Beach Access

Martinique on the Gulf has direct beach access with elevated boardwalks leading to the beach.

Outdoor Pool

The Gulf-front outdoor pool at Martinique on the Gulf sits at the edge of the community with views toward the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Lounge chairs and patio seating surround the pool deck. A great spot for watching the sun go down while staying close to the water.

Indoor Pool

The indoor/outdoor pool in the middle of the community is fantastic. You can enjoy either the amazing Gulf coast sunshine or tuck inside and enjoy a bit of shade while still swimming around the pool.

This is one of our favorite swim-through pools in Gulf Shores.

Hot Tubs

There are hot tubs located next to both the indoor pool and the outdoor community pool next to the beach.

Quick Dry Tennis Courts

Martinique on the Gulf has quick-dry tennis courts available for guests. Courts are also used for pickleball.

 

Clubhouse

The Martinique on the Gulf clubhouse offers a comfortable gathering space with a meeting room available for group use.

Exercise Room/Gym

There is a nice fitness center with weights along with aerobic machines.

Community Path

There is a community path that makes it really easy to explore the community. Bird watching is fantastic, with Historic Fort Morgan and Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge so close.

Sassy Bass Island Grill - Casual breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Gulf Shores Plantation with Gulf views, fresh seafood, and a fun tropical atmosphere. The fried plantains and beer cheese bacon burger are must-tries.

Sassy Bass Amazin Grill - Where the Sassy Bass family of restaurants started. Famous for Navy Cove Oysters harvested two miles away in Navy Cove Bay. Live music and a fun local atmosphere.

Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge - The refuge surrounds Martinique on three sides. Miles of hiking trails through pristine coastal dune habitat, freshwater ponds, and maritime forest. One of the best birdwatching destinations on the Alabama Gulf Coast. No GCJ post yet - confirm current trail access and hours at fws.gov/refuge/bon-secour before your visit.

Fort Morgan Historic Site - About 18 minutes from Martinique. A Civil War-era star fortification at the tip of the Fort Morgan Peninsula. Tours, history, and stunning views of Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico entrance. A great half-day trip from the community.

Fort Morgan Pier - Public fishing pier at the tip of the Fort Morgan Peninsula near the historic site. A great spot for fishing, crabbing, and watching the Mobile Bay Ferry come and go.
