Duplin Winery Panama City Beach
Duplin Winery is the oldest and largest muscadine winery in the South, and their Panama City Beach location is the biggest of all three, 38,000 square feet of Southern charm right on Panama City Beach Parkway.
Duplin has spent 50 years perfecting the sweetness levels of each label, so there is genuinely something for every palate here from a soft dry white to a fizzy orange blush to a sweet red best served chilled.
Wine Tasting
Duplin Winery in Panama City Beach offers an amazing wine tasting experience. They have five tasting bars spread throughout the building so you get to enjoy your wine tasting with a small group.
An amazing Duplin associate will guide you through the tasting. This is a great opportunity to try a variety of Duplin Wines and find out which ones you love.
Each participant gets a scoring card so you can take notes about each wine that you try.
After your wine tasting, you are given a ticket that is good for a glass of wine that you can enjoy on the back deck or outdoor seating.
What is Muscadine Wine?
Muscadine grapes are native to the American South and have been growing wild across the region for centuries. They thrive in the hot, humid climate and sandy soil that most wine grapes struggle with, which is why you will not find muscadine wines coming out of Napa or Bordeaux.
The grapes are naturally thick-skinned and high in antioxidants, and they produce a wine that is distinctly fruit-forward and sweeter than what most people think of when they picture a glass of wine. If you have only ever had dry red or dry white wine and found it too tart or too tannic, muscadine is a completely different experience.
Duplin has been working with muscadine grapes for 50 years and has gotten very good at controlling the sweetness levels across their lineup, which means there is genuinely something for every preference.
The wines range from soft and dry, like their Carlos white wine,to rich, sweet reds and fizzy blush wines that taste more like dessert than dinner.
The PCB exclusive Orange Blossom has a light carbonation and a fresh citrus note that makes it a perfect warm-weather pour. I
f you have never tried muscadine wine before, Duplin is a great place to start because the guided tasting walks you through the full range, and the staff is good at helping you figure out what variety you will enjoy.
Duplin Muscadine Pineapple Habanero Salsa Dip
During the wine tasting you are going to have a container of creamy dip and crackers to enjoy.
If you are like my husband and LOVE the dip to the point there isn't a speck of dip left in the container don't worry you can buy a jar of Duplin Muscadine Pineapple Habanero Salsa in the gift shop.
That way you can make the Muscadine Pineapple Habanero Dip at home! All you need is a jar of salsa and a block of cream cheese that has been softened.
Honestly if you love the dip and don't live in PCB I would plan to bring a bottle or 2 home. It is sooo good.
Bottle your own Wine
The Bottle your own Wine experience is a lot of fun. We did this activity as part of my 50 before 50 new things adventure.
Both my husband and I really enjoyed learning more about Duplin Wines and being able to bottle our own wine. It was a fun experience going from making sure the bottle was prepped properly, to filling it just right, to capping it and adding the label.
This would make a fantastic gift for a wine lover.
Outdoor Seating
There are a couple of options for outdoor seating at Duplin Winery in PCB and you honestly can't go wrong with any of them.
The back porch area is covered with tables and chairs near where live musicians set up. This is a great area to take a break from the bright Florida Gulf Coast sun.
There is open air seating near the back patio along the lakes that include Adirondack chairs.
Our favorite place to sit is the covered area on the deck crossing the lake. This covered area is so comfortable and perfect for a day date.
During our last visit we ended spending a couple of hours relaxing on the comfy couch and savoring glasses of wine and delicious snacks. Don't miss the snacks from the snack and dessert counter!
Kitchen and Sweets Shop
The kitchen area has both sweet treats and snacks you can take outside with your wine. We tried a couple of warm pretzels with beer cheese dip and the salsa dip you know my husband had to have.
They have an amazing variety of fudge and cheesecakes if you want a sweet treat with your wine.
You can also get a glass of wine slushie that is absolutely perfect on a hot Panama City Beach afternoon.
Beer Garden - Duplin Winery in PCB now has a beer garden with draft beers available!
Gift Shop/Wine Shop
The gift shop and wine shop has everything you could dream of in a wine shop and more things you didn't know were possible but now need.
There are displays of each Duplin wine with bottles available for purchase, wine gifts, souvenirs, and so much more to bring home with you.
Heritage Wine Club - The Heritage Wine Club gives you the opportunity to have wine shipped to your door or you can pick the wine up at a Duplin Winery location. Heritage Club Members receive quarterly shipments of wine along with discounts and special rewards. Every quarter the wine changes so you can try different wines.
New Vineyard
In April 2026, Duplin Winery planted their first Muscadine grapes in their new vineyard.
You can see the new vineyard from the outdoor patio and seating as it is right across the lake from the main building. We are so excited to go back and see all of the vines that were planted.
Events at Duplin Winery PCB
One of the things we really enjoy about visiting Duplin Winery is the number of fun events that they host during the year.

2026 is the 50th anniversary of Duplin Winery and they are having a full year of events. They have a delicious Duplin 1976 Reserve White Table Wine that you need to try!

Accessibility - There are accessible parking spaces at the front of the building. Inside there is space to move around easily. In the wine tasting rooms there are sections of the counter that are wheelchair height.
They have a ramp down to the outdoor seating area.
Plus Size Seating - There are comfortable chairs in both the wine tasting and outside.
Dress Code/Suggestions - Casual. This is a PCB winery with porches, a lakefront pavilion, and an over-water gazebo. Come as you are.
