I tried scuba diving when I was in high school and was certified for a while. My basic dives were fun but not super adventurous. The Man in the Sea museum shows just how far diving has come and the work that is done underwater.

Tours are self guided giving you time to explore this military diving museum. It is a great family friendly things to do in Panama City Beach.

Man in the Sea Museum exhibits are indoor and outdoors so be prepared for the Florida Gulf Coast weather.

It is truly amazing seeing how diving has changes from early attempts to todays technology.

The display of assorted underwater masks is fascinating. We really enjoyed learning about military divers, underwater submersibles, and seeing the how scuba/diving gear has changed over time.

The museum displays include dioramas, artifacts, photographs, interpretive drawings, and a video that is worth planning time for.

Whether you have been diving or are curious about underwater habitats and exploration, I think you will enjoy this Panama City Beach museum. The dedication and care that have been taken to build out this museum show in every display.
