Foley Railroad Museum & Model Train Exhibit

Enjoy a self-guided tour of the Foley Railroad Museum and Model Train Museum! I will warn you that the Model Train Museum is amazing and you may not want to leave it.

I thought I would be there long enough to check out the displays and then wander through the rest of the park. I was wrong! I spent 45+ minutes sitting watching the model trains move around the display.

It was awe-inspiring, and I couldn't stop watching.

They offer free train rides for kids and parents around Foley's Heritage Park on the Charles Ebert Express II. Catch the train in front of the historic depot

n 1905, the construction of the first railroad depot commenced when the Bay Minette-Fort Morgan Railway was established. The town's namesake, Mr. John B. Foley, contributed his own funds to extend the rail line from Bay Minette to Foley.

Upon the completion of this extension in 1907, it became known as the L & N Railroad. Unfortunately, the initial station was destroyed by fire, leading to the construction of a second depot in 1909, which remains standing to this day.

Located in Foley, Alabama, this museum is dedicated to preserving the rich history of railroads in America. From exploring vintage locomotives to learning about how trains have changed over time, there are plenty of things to do at this amazing museum.
