The Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar is a local favorite for great food, a fun atmosphere, and decadent desserts.
The Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar
Tin Top is a local favorite for a reason. This hidden gem a few minutes outside of Gulf Shores serves unbelievable food.
They just moved to a new building with more space and gorgeous views of the Bon Secour River. The new restaurant has an amazing outside seating area along with indoor space to relax in the air conditioning.
The menu is filled with Southern Coastal Flare made with the freshest quality produce and local seafood. All served in a casual atmosphere that feels like you are part of the family.
Their motto is "Off the Beaten Path but Worth the Drive," which is so true! Located in the heart of Bon Secour, this popular dining destination is worth the drive.
Our first time dining at Tin Top was at its original location, and we were told we HAD to visit the restaurant before it moved so we could experience both the original and new location.
We were not prepared for the amount of food we ordered. I am going to admit that we ended up taking home enough leftovers for 2 days' worth of lunches, which was a great bonus.
Every single thing we tried was amazing. As we were getting ready to leave, we were already planning our next visit. The food was that good.
The extensive menu makes it a great restaurant to return to repeatedly to try something new. The chef's Southern coastal twist creates delicious flavors that you want to savor.
The new location is absolutely gorgeous! It is spacious but comfortable with really great indoor and outdoor seating.
Indoor Seating
The indoor seating is comfortable wooden tables and chairs. The tables can be moved if needed to make a longer table in some areas.
Indoor Bar
There is a great long bar within the restaurant next to several large TVs. They offer a great variety of cocktails, beer, and wines.
Outdoor Seating
There is a gorgeous large deck for outdoor seating. Part of the deck is covered with large fans keeping the air moving. The other portion of the deck is open with tables and chairs with large red umbrellas for some shade.
The deck looks out over the water and is a fantastic waterfront view.
