Gelato Joe's Italian Restaurant & Bar
I NEED you to head to Gelato Joes and try the pear and goat cheese Sachetti Pasta. It is unbelievable and one of my favorite things to order.
The first time we visited Gelato Joe's in Foley, we really were not sure what to expect. The combination of an Italian Restaurant and a Tiki Bar seemed a bit random, but we figured why not try it.
I am so thankful we decided to try this great Italian Restaurant! Hello yum! It is now one of our favorite Foley restaurants to visit.
Every single dish is unbelievable! From the appetizer sampler to the salads to the main dishes you can't go wrong.
We did hear that it can get really busy during lunchtime as everyone tries to get a great meal in a short amount of time.
Indoor Seating
The indoor seating is comfortable with tables of 4 or 8 spread around the restaurant. It is not a huge restaurant so there may be a bit of a wait but it is worth it.
Outdoor Seating
The outdoor seating is part of the tiki bar patio. There is an outdoor bar available and you can order from the regular menu.
They have karaoke on Monday and Wednesday nights, live music on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights. Make sure to check out the daily drink specials.

During our last visit, we realized that the Gelato Joe's menu had changed a bit. Thankfully all of our favorites were still on the menu along with some great new items.
Menu Highlights
Stuffed Specialty Ravioli - Served with your choice of garlic butter, homemade marinara sauce, alfredo, or meat sauce. Served with garlic bread and a side dish.

Pasta Entrees include Ravioli, chicken parmesan, veal parmesan, chicken Florentine, fettuccine alfredo, Joe's lasagna, spaghetti & meatballs, stuffed shells, stuffed manicotti, eggplant parmesan, and a meatball plate.
Pasta Aglio E Olio - angel hair pasta with olive oil, garlic butter, parsley, grated Romano cheese, and shaved Parmesan cheese.
Grilled Paninis are served on toasted Focaccia bread with a choice of side.
Turkey Spinach - thin sliced turkey bread, topped with their three cheese spinach mixture and melted provolone cheese.
Turkey Roasted Red Pepper - Thin sliced turkey breast, topped with sweet housemade roasted bell peppers and mozzarella cheese.
Muffaletta - Thin sliced ham, genoa salami, and mortadella topped with Italian olive salad and melted provolone cheese.
Grilled Reuben - Thin sliced corned beef, stacked on thick sliced rye bread with sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese.
Pastrami & Swiss - Thin sliced pastrami and kosher dill pickles on thick sliced rye bread with melted Swiss cheese.
Chicken Spinach - Grilled chicken, 3 cheese spinach mixture, sun-dried tomatoes, and melted provolone cheese.
Turkey Bacon Cheddar - thin sliced turkey breast topped with bacon and melted cheddar cheese.
Italian - Sliced ham, hot capicola, genoa, and cooked salami, roasted red peppers and melted provolone cheese.
Other sandwichh options include chicken spinach, Philly cheesesteak, Turkey bacon cheddar, Ham Bacon cheddar, a Cuban, and an Italian.
Specialty wraps include chicken Caesar, chicken strawberry, chicken Greek, Buffalo cheddar chicken, chicken ranch, and a Philly cheese steak wrap.
Bada Bing Shrimp Platter - hand breaded butterfly shrimp, fried crispy, served with sweet & spicy sauce.
Fried coconut shrimp platter - 12 coconut shrimp, served with spicy pineapple sauce.
Make sure to check out the homemade desserts, Cannoli, ice cream and epic flavors of authentic Italian gelato, fine Italian cookies, and more! The homemade cakes and cheesecakes look amazing.
The peanut butter chocolate ball is delicious! We get one every time we visit. My husband also loves the Hazelnut Gelato.
Joes Dinner for Two - This is a great date night option! You get to enjoy a sampling that includes
- A bottle of Joe's table wine
- Lasagna with two stuffed shells
- Your choice of Fettuccine alfredo with chicken or spaghetti with 2 meatballs
- Served with garlic bread
- Your choice of 2 soups or 2 salads
- Finish with a delicious choice of 2 cannoli
All you can eat Spaghetti - Choose from spaghetti, angel hair, of fettuccine and the choice of house-made meat or marina sauce. Served with choice of soup or green salad with garlic bread.
Housemade Sides - Macaroni salad, fruit salad, cucumber salad, broccoli salad, fries, onion rings, ranch pasta.
Kids Menu - grilled cheese, grilled ham and cheese, grilled turkey and cheese, chicken tenders, fried shrimp, and spaghetti or fettuccine.
Gluten-Free - The salads are fantastic.
Vegan - They have epic salads! They also have plant based gelato!
Vegetarian - I order the pear and goat cheese pasta every time it is so good. There are multiple options for vegetarians including great salads, pasta dishes
The Sweet strawberry salad is a favorite with spring mix, romaine, and fresh strawberries topped with blue cheese crumbles. Served with a zinfandel vinaigrette dressing. (pictured below)
Desserts - Blueberry bread pudding, Oreo ball, Peanut butter ball, NY Cheesecake, fudge brownie, chocolate cannoli, homemade cake, chess bar lemon bar, gelato.
You can walk in and pick up amazing premade salads, sandwiches, and pasta dinners. They have a rotating selection of options.

Hours - Please confirm with the restaurant to ensure that the hours have not changed.
Accessibility - The front entrance is the most accessible. The side entrance and the tiki bar have stairs leading up to them.
The front entrance does have a bit of a concrete lip to go over.
Plus Size Seating - The indoor chairs are pretty comfortable. They do not have arms on the chairs. There is a fair amount of space between tables.
Dress Code/Suggestions - Casual or date night depending on how you feel.
Pets - Pets are not allowed in the restaurant.
Parking - The parking area is right in front of the restaurant. It can get really full when the restaurant is busy.
You may need to circle a few times but it is so worth it.
