We started going to Ristorante Carmelo when we saw their Tuesday Spaghetti and Meatball special. The first time we visited, we forgot to order the special because everything on the menu looked amazing.
Now that we have experienced Ristorante Carmelo, it is one of our favorite restaurants in Orange Beach.
Every single dish has tasted amazing! This is one of our favorite date night restaurants.

There are multiple options for dining indoors, including booth seating, half bench and chair seating, and tables with comfortable chairs.
Ristorante Carmelo Menu
The entire menu is filled with delicious Italian food. Make sure to go hungry! This menu is packed with good food.
The fresh bread is honestly amazing! I would drive to Orange Beach just for the warm bread.
Antipasti Highlights
Bruschetta - Country bread topped with your choice of tomato, Mozzarella, and fresh basil or sautéed wild mushrooms.
Scampi - Shrimp sautéed with butter, garlic, and white wine. Served over crostini.
Caprese - Beef steak tomato, mozzarella di bufula, fresh basil, aged balsamic vinegar sprinkled with sea salt and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil (SO GOOD).
Calamari - Fried calamari served with marinara dipping sauce.
Cozze - Native mussels sauteed with fresh garlic and extra virgin olive oil and white wine. Served with crostini.
Salads include Insalata Carmelo, Caesar Salad, or Insalata Mista
Soup options include Zuppa de Giorno and Minestra di Fagioli
Pasta Highlights
Quattro Formaggi - Pappardelle in a rich cheese sauce of Romano, gorgonzola, Bel Paese, and Parmigiano.
Lasagna Carmelo - Pasta layered with egg, veal, beef, pork, mozzarella, ricotta, and tomato sauce
Brigante de Penne - penne rigate in a light cream, vodka, and tomato sauce.
Ammazzafame - Penne rigate, porcini mushrooms, sausage, broccoli, sun-dried tomato, and capers.
Mare e Monte - Linguine with clams from the sea and mushrooms from the mountains in a rich tomato sauce
Maccheroni Amatriciana - House made spaghetti chitarra with pancetta, pecorino, red pepper flakes, onion and crushed tomato sauce
Veal Piccata - Lightly dusted veal sautéed with butter, capers, shallots, white wine and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Served over angel hair pasta
Braciolettine - Prepared alla limone, veal rolled and stuffed with Prosciutto and Mozzarella, mushrooms and a citrus white wine sauce. Served over angel hair pasta
Lombata di Manzo - Grilled New York Sirloin topped with a dolce gorgonzola sauce. Served with linguine
Chicken Parmigiana - Baked chicken cutlet topped with a light tomato sauce and Mozzarella cheese
Melanzane Parmigiana - Baked eggplant layered with a light tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Dessert highlights
Lemon Ricotta Cake - Traditional Lemon Ricotta Cake with limoncello cream cheese frosting and blueberry curd.
The lemon ricotta cake had great flavor. It was a bit dark at the edges so we skipped the dark corners. The flavor of the blueberries with the cake was great.
Cannoli Siciliana - Crisp hand-rolled pastry shell filled with sweet ricotta cheese, chocolate, vanilla. Dipped in pistachio nuts and dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon
Kids Menu - We have not seen a specific kids menu.
Gluten-Free - Salad, grilled chicken, grilled New York steak without pasta, salmon, shrimp. There are a few dishes that could be served without the pasta.
Vegan - Insalata Carmelo (remove dry salami and salad dressing), Insalata Mista without dressing
Vegetarian - The Quattro Formaggi pasta was one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a really long time. They also have salads, appetizers, and spaghetti.
