From the moment we walked into Cristiano's in Houma, we were blown away. The first thing you walk into is a gallery with Italian paintings, Venetian masks, vintage cameras, and so much to look at.

I was honestly a bit sad that our table was ready right when we walked in. I could have happily spent a minute or five just looking at the art and eclectic collection of items at the main entrance.

Cristiano's Houma is in a house that has been turned into the perfect date-night restaurant or really any night restaurant when you want a meal that will delight your taste buds.

We went in knowing we wanted a great Italian meal. We left the restaurant pleasantly full wondering if we could fit in another visit while in Houma.

From the first bite of warm, fresh baked focaccia bread to the last bite of creme brulee, every single thing we tried was divine.

Indoor Seating

The indoor seating is broken into what used to be bedrooms and other spaces in the house. We sat in a room with maybe 4-5 tables, which made it feel intimate and super comfortable.

The art on the wall is unique, and you can't help but look around and smile. Even sitting in a room with other people we were able to have a private conversation and feel like we could easily focus on each other.

Outdoor Seating

There is a lovely patio area with high and low tables spread out. On a gorgeous coastal Louisiana night it is the perfect place to relax with a glass of Italian wine and amazing food.

I NEED you to order a basket of fresh bread! The Bruschetta was unbelievable.

The quattro formaggio pasta is a cheese lover's dream. My husband said the Lasagna was delicious and had the perfect balance of flavors.

For dessert, I highly suggest the creme brulee, strawberry, and chocolate dish. It is the perfect size to complement an unbelievable dinner.

Don't miss the seasonal menu and daily specials! The full menu is amazing. It is hard to make a decision there are so many great options available.

Bruschetta Calda - Hello yum! Garlic roasted ciabatta, roasted grape tomatoes, basil pesto, topped with burrata mozzarella. DELISH!

Chargrilled Oysters - Famous flame kissed oysters on the half shell served with smoky roasted red pepper garlic butter, small or large plate

Affettati - Thinly shaved cured meat and salumi, specialty cheeses, with house made mustards, local preserves, and pickles vegetables on a serving board.

Bread Basket - A MUST ORDER!!! SO GOOD!

Tortellini al Tartufo - Black truffle and ricotta filled pasta, crabmeat, with a fontina cream sauce.

Cioppino del Sud - Pan seared sea scallops, gulf shrimp, little neck clams, pecan wood smoked bacon, organic baby arugula, caramelized onions, grape tomatoes, house made pappardelle, in a rich butter sauce.

Pasta Fresca ai Quattro Formaggi - Fresh pasta served in a four cheese cream sauce. This is alfredo sauce at a whole new level of cheesy goodness. So good!

Penne al Forno - Red wine braised short ribs, roasted red peppers, Sambuca tomato sauce, three cheese gratinee.

Lasagna - Layered with fresh herbs, 3 Italian cheeses, ground tenderloin bolognese, bechamel and pomodoro

The Veal Burger - veal burger, smoked gouda, baby field greens, fresh tomato, pesto mayo, fresh locally baked bun

Dessert options:

Contrastante - Vanilla Creme brulee with a fallen chocolate cake and Grand Marnier macerated strawberries! SO GOOD

Cappuccino Terrine - Espresso flavored chocolate mouse with cinnamon - white chocolate mousse draped in chocolate ganache, with a blackberry compote.

Apple Tarte Tatin - Upside down apple pie with zabaglione gelato.

Tiramisu - Brandy mascarpone mouse that is layered with espresso soaked ladyfingers.

They also offer rotating flavors of house made gelato and sorbetto.

Accessibility - There is accessible parking next to the main entrance to the restaurant. There is a ramp up to the restaurant that all guests use. Once inside the restaurant the dining area is broken into rooms that have pretty good space between tables.

Plus Size Seating - The chairs inside the restaurant do not have arms on them and are pretty comfortable.

The chairs on the outdoor patio do have arms on them.

Dress Code/Suggestions - Dressy casual, date night, you do you.

During our visit, we saw a variety of clothing, from jean shorts and a T-shirt to date night button-down shirts and dresses.

Reservations - You can make reservations online or by calling the restaurant.

Pets - Pets are not allowed inside the restaurant.

Parking  - There is parking next to the restaurant, along with a parking lot right across the street.
