Gulf Coast Burger Co - Panama City Beach

My husband found Gulf Coast Burger Co. while searching for restaurants we had to try during our last visit to Panama City Beach.

We originally planned to visit the Destin location while we were there, but it was the week of Christmas, and that location is in the Destin Commons shopping center.

The Panama City Beach location was perfect for our weekend adventure. The menu is unique and fun, the atmosphere casual and energetic, and the theme is perfect for this website.

I mean, Gulf Coast Journeys visiting Gulf Coast Burgers sounds like the perfect meeting. LOL!

From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. How often do you see a swordfish with a burger in its mouth?

I have to tell you the food was amazing! Every single thing we ordered was fantastic and we would happily visit again and again.

The biggest surprise was when Rosey the Robot (named after the Jetsons) came around the corner and stopped at our table.

I was not prepared for a robot to bring our giant milkshake and it was the perfect surprise.

We were laughing so much we almost forgot to get the milkshake. The robot had to beep at us to remind us why it was there.

The Gulf Coast Burger Co Menu features themed burgers, build-your-own sandwiches with great protein choices, and giant milkshakes.

Menu Highlights

Appetizers: cheeseburger dip, loaded fries, loaded tater tots, cheese curds (SO GOOD), Gulf Coast nachos, fried green tomatoes, and onion rings.

Signature Burgers

Florida Burger - Bacon, egg, avocado spread, American cheese, Spring Mix, Brioche Bun with an Orange Slice topper.

Alabama Burger - Pimento cheese, slaw, fried green tomato, Alabama white sauce, brioche bun with a chicken wing topper.

Mississippi Burger - Country fried steak, brown gravy, sauteed onions, tomato, pickles, wheat bun, with a pork skin topper.

Louisiana Burger - Andouille sausage, remoulade, holy trinity peppers, Pepper Jack cheese, brioche bun with a mini corn dog topper.

Texas Burger - Fried Jalapenos, chili, tobacco onions, smoked gouda cheese, BBQ sauce, Jalapeno Texas toast, with a pork skin topper.

Pick Your Protein Sandwiches/Burgers

Proteins (Grilled, blackened, or fried) - Beef, Wagyu, Grass-fed beef, bison, turkey, chicken, veggie (made in-house), or Grouper.

Add ons - Bacon, Avocado spread, fried egg, sauteed onions, sauteed mushrooms.

Side - Seaside fries, tater tots, mac n cheese, sweet potato fries, onion rings.

Fried Grouper basket, Fried Shrimp Basket, or a chicken tender basket all served with seaside fries or tater tots.

Smothered Chicken - 8 oz chicken breast smothered in sauteed onions, mushrooms, cheddar jack cheese and Alabama white sauce. Served with yellow rice and corn.

Seafood Platter - Fried grouper, shrimp, and clam strips served with coleslaw, fries, and hushpuppies.

Southern House Salad - Spring mix, tomato, cucumber, egg, corn, bacon, blue cheese crumbles, fried onion strings.

Tasty Cat 5 Shakes

Celebration Shake - Strawberry shake topped with a mini cupcake, a big round sucker, two cherries, two small suckers, and whipped cream.

Sugar Rush Shake - Vanilla shake topped with cotton candy, nerds rope, cherry, Airheads Xtreme, Big Sucker, Fruity Pebbles, and whipped cream.

Chocolate Supreme - Chocolate shake topped with Mini M&Ms, Kit Kats, Pretzel Sticks, brownie, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream.

Cookies & Cream Shake - Cookies & Cream shake topped with cookie crumble, two whole cookies, chocolate drizzle, and whipped cream.

Peanut Butter Shake - Peanut butter shake topped with peanut butter morsels, Reese's cups, cracker jacks, and whipped cream.

They also have spiked shakes, classic shakes, classic floats, and desserts.

Kids Menu - Kids meals options include a burger, mini corn dogs, chicken tenders or grilled cheese served with a side (fries, tater tot, or mac n cheese).

Gluten-Free - milkshakes, salads, and the restaurant has gluten-free buns.

Vegan - Southern House salad without egg, bacon, or blue cheese. Gulf Coast Garden Salad without shredded cheese.

There is pretty good space between tables and different seating options.

Plus Size Seating - The chairs do not have arms. There are booths and chair combination tables so you can pick what makes you the most comfortable.
