The Tatonut Donut Shop
The Tatonut is unique because it is made with potato flour! The store says they are home to "the only real donut" and I have to tell you they may be right.
These doughnuts are unbelievable. I would think about driving a couple of hours back to Mississippi to pick up another dozen.
The family recipe that is used creates light, fluffy doughnuts that are unbelievable. Paired with gourmet coffee or espresso drinks, you have the perfect sweet treat.
The Tatonut Shop is an Ocean Springs, Southern Mississippi icon for a reason!

I can't wait to go back and order a donut hole cake which are perfect for birthdays, holidays, special occasions, or a sweet treat on a road trip to Mississippi.
The cinnamon twists are my favorite but there are so many other options that it is hard to decide on just one favorite.

Indoor Seating
The indoor seating includes bright cherry-red chairs at wooden tables. It is cute and so comfortable to relax with your fresh doughnuts.
Outdoor Seating
There are a couple of tables and chairs next to the front entrance to the Tatonut Shop.
Tatonut Menu
The Tatonut Menu includes glazed donuts, chocolate, sprinkles, cake, Persian, twist, filled, Katrina, Donut Holes, and more!
The drink menu includes hot coffee, cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate, cold brew, iced latte, Frozen cappuccino, coffee smoothie, a fruit smoothie, milk, orange juice, soda, sweet tea, and more.
Kids Menu - The entire menu of doughnuts is a kids dream!
Gluten-Free - I would double-check with the Tatonut shop. While they are made with potato flour I don't know if they also have regular all purpose flour in them.
Vegan - Check with the store to see which options are available. They make everything in house.
Vegetarian - The majority of doughnuts are vegetarian. Just look out for any with bacon on them.

Open Tuesday through Saturday 5:30 am to 5 pm

Accessibility - There is a ramp leading to the sidewalk nearby. The restaurant has a fair amount of space inside of it.
Plus Size Seating - The indoor chairs do not have arms on them. The outdoor chairs do have arms and may be a bit tight.
Dress Code/Suggestions - Casual
Pets - Pets are not allowed in the restaurant.
Parking - There is street parking in front of the shop. Just be prepared for it to be busy.
