The Beach Pit is a great casual BBQ restaurant with great service. The entire family can relax and enjoy a fantastic meal in a low key vibe perfect after a day at the beach.
Beach Pit also offers a takeout menu if you want to load up on beef brisket, pork, whole chicken, sausage links, spare ribs, or baby back ribs plus all the sides and take them back to your St. George Island Vacation Rental.
This is a great way to feed everyone back at the vacation rental and not have to worry about loading everyone into a golf cart or the car to get to the restaurant when they are tired from the beach.

Indoor Seating
There is comfortable indoor seating with both low and high top table options. The high top tables along the wall have an elevated bench along with high bar stools with backs.
The low tables are comfortable with padded seats.
Outdoor Seating
There are tables outside along the side of the restaurant under a cover if you want to enjoy your meal with the great Gulf breeze.

Soups
Brunswick Stew (cup or bowl), Soup of the Day (cup or bowl), and Seafood Gumbo (cup or bowl). The Brunswick Stew is a Southern tradition made with beef and pork and is one of the most talked-about items at The Beach Pit.

Side Salad, House Salad, Grilled Chicken Salad, Smoked Turkey Salad, Shrimp Salad, and Chef Salad (with lettuce, tomato, cheese, egg, green onion, bacon, turkey, and ham).

Barbeque (served with choice of two sides) - Texas-style BBQ smoked on-site. Available meats: pork, sausage, turkey breast, beef, and half chicken. Spare ribs also available. Combination plates include a Two Meat BBQ Plate, One Meat BBQ Dinner with Ribs, and the Sampler Platter with beef, pork, sausage, and spare ribs.
Ribs (served with a choice of two sides) - Spare Rib Plate (small or large) and Baby Back Rib Plate (small or large), both served with the house signature BBQ sauce.
Seafood Dinners (served with side salad and one side) - Grilled Shrimp, Lemon Pepper Shrimp, Blackened Shrimp, Fried Shrimp, Fried Grouper (lemon pepper or blackened available), Grilled Tuna Steak (sushi grade), Fried Seafood Platter (grouper, shrimp, and oysters), Fried Oysters (Apalachicola Bay), Flounder Dinner (fried or grilled), and Steamed Snow Crab Legs (Alaskan).
Breakfast Menu
Served Monday through Friday 7am to 11am and Saturday and Sunday 7am to noon.
Eggs Your Way: One, two, or three egg plates, each served with bacon, sausage, or ham, and white or wheat toast.
Biscuits: Sausage and Gravy, Bacon or Ham Biscuit, Chicken Biscuit (summer season only), Plain Biscuit. Add cheese or egg.
Bagels: Toasted bagel with or without bacon, sausage, or ham. Add cheese or egg.
Three Egg Omelets (with white or wheat toast): Cheese, Bacon and Cheese, Sausage and Cheese, Ham and Cheese, Western (ham, pepper, onion, and cheese), Meat Lovers (bacon, sausage, ham, and cheese), Veggie Lovers (tomato, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and cheese), Shrimp Omelet, Oyster Omelet.
Pancakes: Short stack (2) or double stack (4). Add pecans, strawberries, or blueberries.
Waffles: Single or double stack. Add pecans, strawberries, or blueberries.
French Toast: Stuffed with a sweet cream filling, available as two or four pieces. Add strawberries or blueberries.
