The Battle House Hotel in Mobile, Alabama, is a gorgeous historic hotel right in the heart of downtown Mobile.

The Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa
The historic Battle House Hotel sits on thes site of where Andrew Jackson had his military headquarters during the War of 1812.
The hotel dates back to 1852 when James Battle and his two brothers opened a four story hotel. The hotel was almost destroyed in 1905. They redid the hotel and it reopened in 1908 with an additional three stories and Georgian-Revival style architecture.

✨What's New in Mobile, AL
We can all be thankful that air conditioning was added to the hotel in 1949. The idea of Alabama Gulf Coast summers without air conditioning sounds miserable. Thank goodness for modern conveniences in a historic hotel.
Today, the Battle House Hotel features 238 luxuriously refurbished hotel rooms.

We stayed in a king room on the 7th floor lounge level, which was absolutely gorgeous. From the moment we walked into the room and saw the bed I was ready to curl up and enjoy a great nights sleep.
The room is set up for luxurious comfort. There is a comfy chair with ottoman perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee. Desk with chair if you need to get a bit of work done.
The great couch is comfortable for relaxing on. The highlight of the room is the plush bed, which is hard not to curl up in and spend the entire day relaxing.

I had to stop myself from sitting on the bed before we headed out on our Bienville Bites Food Tour. It was so comfy that I knew I would want to take a nap if I sat there.
The bathroom is luxurious while maintaining a historic feel. The shower has fantastic water pressure and contains Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo and conditioner. Kevin Murphy Young Again soap is also available. I might have used the soap multiple times, hoping it made my 40-something-year-old skin feel 20 again for a few minutes. LOL!
A deep lounging tub is calling my name for another visit to the hotel. It looks perfect for relaxing with a new book.

Outdoor Rooftop Pool
The outdoor rooftop pool is so much bigger than I expected it to be. There is a lane for swimming laps, a pool with walk in entry great for kids, and a hot tub.
Lounge chairs surround the pool deck so you can spend the day relaxing in the Alabama Gulf Coast sun. There is a pool bar open seasonally.
One thing to know is the rooftop bar is in the modern portion of the hotel. If you are staying in the historic section you will need to take make your way to the modern section and take an elevator to the rooftop.
Just a heads up so you bring a swimsuit cover up if you wish too.

The Spa at The Battle House is on the Spa Trail which is part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. It looks absolutely amazing.

The rooftop terrace at the top of the historic portion of the hotel is amazing. The perfect place to enjoy an epic view of Downtown Mobile and the Mobile River, catch up with friends, or relax wtih a good book.

Club Level Lounge
There is a Marriott Lounge available on the 7th floor for guests with access to club level lounges. During breakfast they had pastries, coffee, drinks, and more available for guests.
