Bamahenge was built by Virginia artist Mark Cline at his Enchanted Castle Studios for Alabama billionaire George Barber. Mr. Barber originally wanted the sculpture to be placed at the Vintage Motorsports Museum outside of Birmingham.
Over time it was decided to place the replica of Stonehenge sculpture near Barber Marina in Elberta, Alabama.
Today you can enjoy the 21 foot tall sculpture that stretches 104 feet across.

There is a sign near the replica that talks about how Bamahenge compares to the original Stonehenge.
While this is not a complete full-size replica, it does have the same astrological alignment as the original.
