Acme Cafe opened in 1910 in the heart of the French Quarter. Over the past 100+ years Acme has perfected cooking Gulf Oysters and Seafood.

They opened the Acme Gulf Shores location in 2014 on the Intracoastal Waterway. The company has survived through natural disasters, major world events, and more to continue to be, as they say, "Rawsome"!

Whether you are in town on vacation or a local to the area, you are going to enjoy this gorgeous restaurant and amazing food.

We are excited to partner with Acme Oyster House and share all of our favorite menu items.

My husband told me he would return any day for the Acme Special Po'boy, which is packed with Hot, debris-style roast beef, ham, turkey, American, and Swiss cheeses.

✨What's New in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach

    Indoor Seating

One of the things we love about the Gulf Shores Acme Oyster House is the amount of indoor seating there is. The tables are nicely spread out, so you can have a conversation and not feel like you are sitting close to other people.

They can host large groups in a separate room or combine tables to fit a large family in the dining area.

    Indoor Bar

The indoor bar is right in the middle of the restaurant and all of the oyster action. If you have ever wanted to see a chef prep oysters, this is the spot to be.

There is even a large mirror over the bar so you can watch the oyster shucking action up close. The chefs are amazing and will answer questions about the different types of oysters and the shucking process.

I learned that the raw oysters are from an oyster farm on Dauphin Island. They are farmed in a specific way to keep them similar in size and flavor year-round.

The chargrilled oysters are larger and have thicker shells to handle the grill's heat.

The guys behind the counter were amazing! I can't believe how many oysters they shuck a day.

    Outdoor Seating

There is great outdoor seating on the back porch overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.

The perfect place to enjoy a great meal in the shade of the covered porch. There is a large grassy area with corn hole and a few chairs to relax in near the water.
