If you are looking for a casual beach-vibe restaurant on Perdido Key, you need to check out Islander Food Shack.
They have a great menu with the best burgers, sandwiches, vegetarian options, skewers, desserts, and tropical drinks.
This is one of our favorite restaurants to visit when we want to eat outside on Perdido Key and savor the gorgeous Gulf Coast weather.

Indoor Seating
The Islander Food Shack indoor seating includes tables and chairs for two to 4 people. The tables could be moved for larger groups if there is space.
Outdoor Seating
The outdoor deck is amazing! Tropical fun music playing, a great breeze off of the Gulf, and fun beach vibe.
There are a few options on the patio including tables and chairs along with tables with bench seats.
Islander Food Shack Menu
The Islander Food Shack menu is great for the entire family! They have a fantastic kids menu, tons of delicious appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and baskets including a grouper basket or shrimp basket.
Menu Highlights
Mini Jamaican Meat Pies - Fresh stuffed pastry filled with Jamaican Jerk seasoned beef.
Boom Boom Shrimp - Fried and then tossed in a spicy Asian sauce, served on a bed of lettuce.
Hawaiian Burger - SO GOOD! Munster cheese, grilled ham, pineapple, egg, and Islander Mayo on a Angus Beef Burger.
Bring the Heat Burger - Jalapeno, Pepper Jack Cheese, Caramelized Onions, lettuce, tomato, and spicy mayo.
Blue Angel Burger - Blue Cheese, Bacon, Caramelized Onions, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
Cuban Sandwich - Islander Mojo Pork, Ham, Swiss Cheese, Pickles, Mustard on a sub roll.
Shrimp and Oyster Po'boys.
Lamb Sliders - Blend of meat seasoned with Mediterranean spices, served with Tzatziki Sauce and Feta Cheese.
Grouper, shrimp, popcorn shrimp, oyster, white fish baskets available.
Dessert options includes an ice cream sundae or key lime pie.
They have Pepsi products, iced tea, wine, bottled beer, draft beef on tap, and mixed drinks.
Kids Menu - The kid's menu includes a Kid's cheeseburger, kids fried popcorn shrimp, kids fried chicken tenders, kids fried chicken fingers, kids fried fish, and a kids grilled cheese all served with fries and a drink.
Gluten-Free options - Side salad, garden salad, Chicken Saute, Blackened mahi, blackened shrimp, blackened white fish, veggie platter.
Vegan - Side or Garden Salad (remove the cheese), I would ask about the veggie platter and how it is prepared, Cole slaw, sweet potato tots
Vegetarian - Grilled Cheese Sandwich with choice of Munster, Swiss, or Cheddar Cheese.
Veggie Platter with bell pepper, pineapple, tomato, mushroom, zucchini, and squash sauteed in a dark rum glaze then served over rice.
Signature Cocktails - Bushwhackers, Frozen Margarita, margarita on the rocks, Bloody Mary, sangria, or a mimosa.

Accessibility - There is a paved parking spot near the front entrance. The parking lot is gravel.
Plus Size Seating - The seats inside do not have arms on them. The outdoor porch has both picnic tables and bench seats that can be moved.
Dress Code/Suggestions - Casual
Pets - Pets are not allowed inside the restaurant.
Parking - There is a gravel lot next to the restaurant.
