We walked into our sixth-floor king suite at the Four Points by Sheraton and immediately headed straight for the balcony. The view over the Gulf of Mexico and Okaloosa Island Pier was so good that our evening plans quickly changed from going out to doing absolutely nothing but relaxing and watching the sunset.
This beachfront hotel sits right on the white sand beaches Fort Walton Beach is known for. You can walk from your room to the Gulf in seconds, and every Gulf-view room comes with a balcony where you can watch the waves, the pier, and some of the best sunsets on the Emerald Coast.

The hotel offers multiple pools, beachfront dining, and a location that puts you steps from the Gulfarium and Okaloosa Island Boardwalk. We spent most of our time on that balcony, but when we did venture out, everything was right there.

King Suite with Gulf View & Balcony
We stayed in a King Suite with a balcony and Gulf view, which was amazing! We walked into the room and were instantly in awe of the view from the 6th-floor balcony.
The balcony was amazing. We spent as much time as possible looking out over the Gulf of Mexico and watching people walk the Okaloosa Island Pier.
The room is arranged perfectly for relaxing after a great day on the beach. We found ourselves relaxing on the balcony for sunset. Our evening plans quickly became doing nothing but relaxing.
The bathroom has a deep tub and shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Living Area & Kitchenette
The kitchen area has a counter with two tall stools. There is a small sink, small microwave, and fridge. There are cabinets but no dishes available in the room.
A coffee maker with coffee and tea is set up in the kitchen are perfect for starting the day with a cup on the balcony.
The living area includes a really comfortable couch, table, drawer set, and flatscreen TV. There is also a comfortable chair.
We found ourselves relaxing on the couch watching the sky change after sunset. It was really comfortable and easy to just relax and talk about our day.

The bedroom area has a comfortable king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and a cabinet.

I think one of the best hotel amenities is the easy access to the gorgeous white sand beach and gorgeous Gulf waters right in front of the hotel.

There is a great outdoor pool (Pure Bliss Pool) with views of the white sand beach and the Gulf of Mexico.
A 2nd outdoor pool (Ohana Pool) is located closer to the front building. The outdoor hot tub/jacuzzi is located in the middle of the garden area between buildings.
Fitness Room
The exercise room is located in East Emerald building.

There are a couple of dining options available at the Sheraton Destin Fort Walton Beach. They have a breakfast restaurant along with a dinner restaurant.

Paradise Cove served breakfast every day from 6:30 am to 10 am.
Upper Deck Bar & Grill - Beachfront Bar
Upper Deck beachfront bar is open seasonally from March 1 through October 31st.
This beachfront bar is located poolside and offers great views of the Gulf of Mexico.
Dempsey's Bar & Grill
Dempsey's Bar & Grill is located in the lobby area near the front desk. There is a nice size seating area.
